A UID stands for a unique identifier, and you can find it in the bottom right of the screen.

To receive a friend request from you, your friend does not have to be online.

Your friend needs to accept your friend request once your friend is online.

After adding a friend on Genshin Impact, you can play co-op with them at rank 16.

However, you must be on the same server as them.

For instance, if you’re playing in the “Asia” server, your friend have to be in the “Asia” server too.

Step 1. Ask your friend to send you their UID

The first thing you need to do is to ask your friend to send your their UID (unique identifier).

To add someone on Genshin Impact, the first thing you need is their UID.

Their username cannot be used to add them.
