Apparently, the android users can use the precise seeking mode by default.
Even if a user does not pull up, the mode will remain enabled.
Many users are reporting about the error on Twitter, Reddit, and other social medias.
Joe Vargas on Twitter managed to receive the response from YouTube.
Here is the Tweet, “The precise seeking feature is not working correctly. It’s on by default and I can’t turn it off! It is happening even if I don’t pull up for it! Please fix it immediately!”.

How to fix “Pull up for precise seeking” on YouTube
To fix “Pull up for precise seeking” on YouTube, you have to visit the accessibility settings and hide the player controls after 3 seconds.
After choosing “After 3 seconds”, the precise seeking mode will not be shown.
Additionally, it will allow you to skip certain parts of a video on YouTube again.
Here’s a step by step guide on how to hide the player controls:
- Go to YouTube app.
- Tap on your profile picture.
- Visit your settings.
- Scroll down and select “Accessibility”.
- Enable “Accessibility player”.
- Select “Hide player controls”.
- Select “After 3 seconds”.
Instead of choosing “After 3 seconds”, you can also select “After 5, 10, or 30 seconds”.
Finally, you can now skip certain parts of a video without boosting the precise seeking mode.
This is a temporary fix until the issue is completely resolved by YouTube.
