If you’re getting an issue with liking, following, or commenting, there is a great chance it is happening because you’re doing it too much.

Too much action will result in temporary blockage.

How to Fix TikTok not working

To fix TikTok not working, the first thing is to check if TikTok is down.

If TikTok is not down, you need to switch to a personal account or wait it out.

If you’re having a connection issue, you can try to switch mobile data to Wi-Fi and vice versa.

If you are experiencing feature-related issues, you need to fulfill the requirements of TikTok.

For instance, if you are unable to go live on TikTok, it’s because you haven’t fulfilled the requirements for it.

According to TikTok, your age should be at least 16 years old to go live.

In addition, to send or receive gifts, you have to be 18 years old and above.

If you’re getting an issue while adding a song to your TikTok video, it is happening because you’re using a business account.

Switch your business account to a personal account to fix this.

Method 1. Find Out if TikTok is down

Before you do anything else, the first way is to check whether TikTok is down or not.

First of all, visit the Down Detector site and search for “TikTok”.

After opening it, you should check if there’s a huge spike in the graph.

If there is a spike, it shows that TikTok is down because a lot of users are reporting it.

The second way is to go to Twitter and search for the term “TikTok down”.

After searching for the term “TikTok down”, check if people are tweeting about it.

If they are tweeting it, it means that TikTok is most likely down because a lot of users reporting it.

Method 2. Wait up to 24 hours

There are 3 common errors messages that you come across on TikTok.

The error messages are “tapping too fast”, “commenting too fast”, and “following too fast“.

TikTok also published an article about these errors.

The “tapping too fast” error message indicates that you are liking TikTok videos too fast.

If you are doing it, it will block you from liking videos temporarily.

This block is temporary and can last up to 24 hours.

After switching to a personal one, you can use commercial or mainstream songs.

Alternatively, when you are using a personal account, you cannot add a link to your bio.

To fix this, you need to move back to a business account and get at least a minimum of 1k followers.

Here’s a step by step guide on how to switch to a business account:

1. Visit your TikTok profile.
2. Tap on the menu icon.
3. Choose “Settings and privacy”.
4. Now, tap on “Manage account”.
5. Tap on “Switch to Business Account”.

After moving back to a business account, you’ll be able to add a link to your bio if are able to get 1000 followers.

Method 4. Switch from Wi-Fi to mobile data and vice-versa

The last method you can use to fix common issues on TikTok is to switch from mobile data to Wi-Fi and vice versa.

Connection issues is one of the common issues on TikTok.

If you are not connecting to TikTok, there is a great chance that you don’t have an internet connection.

In addition, it can also happen if you have a slow or weak internet connection.

If your internet connection is slow, your videos on “For You” page will take forever to load.

First of all, you need to check your internet speed on this URL: https://www.speedtest.net/.

If the download speed is under 2 Mbps, it shows that you have a slow internet connection.

To fix this, you need to either switch from mobile data to Wi-Fi or from Wi-Fi to mobile data.

In addition, you can also use an alternative Wi-Fi network for it.
