Twitter released an update that shows captions/subtitles on videos.
When you watch a video, you will see the captions displayed at the bottom of the video.

The feature is helpful when you’re not in a quiet place and you want to listen to the audio of the video.
However, they can cause irritation sometimes and as a result, you might want to turn them off.
For instance, captions (CC) might block the main parts of the video.
In this post, I will guide you on how to turn off or on captions on Twitter videos.
How to turn off captions on Twitter videos
- Go to Twitter and log in to your account.
- Go to the video where you want to turn off the captions.
- Now, tap on the “CC” icon.
- It will turn off the captions!
Most devices show the “CC” icon at the top right corner of a Twitter video.
To turn them off, you need to tap on them.
If you can’t find the icon, it indicates that captions are not available for you.
However, if the captions are still visible in the video, it shows that the editor has deliberately added them.
In this case, you won’t be able to remove them from that video.
