You can go live on the app of TikTok if you are aged 16 and above.
However, the guidelines are very strict, if you violate any of them, you will get banned from the app.
At the same time, TikTok is also famous for banning users without any reason.
A lot of users are banned from TikTok live even though they did not violate any of TikTok’s community guidelines.
If you’re a creator, and you are banned from TikTok live, it will be frustrating especially if you go live frequently.
The reason behind it is that you won’t be able to receive gifts.
In this post, I will tell you how to get unbanned on TikTok live, whether you can get unbanned, and how long does an appeal takes.
How to get unbanned on TikTok live
To get unbanned on TikTok live, you can send an email to TikTok or use the “Share your feedback” form, or report a problem from the app.
On the other hand, if your ban is a temporary one, you need to wait for it to be lifted from your account.
There are two types of bans you can face on TikTok live including a temporary ban and a permanent ban.
If your ban is a temporary one, you will be informed from TikTok that how long it will last.
For instance, if you’re banned from going live on TikTok for 8 days, you’ll see a “Livestream restrictions” tab that says “8d”.
In this case, you need to wait for 8 days in order to go live on TikTok again.
However, if the “Livestream restrictions” tab shows “Permanently banned from livestreaming”, it means that you cannot go live on TikTok unless you get unbanned by submitting an appeal.
There are 3 ways that you can use to submit an appeal and get unbanned on TikTok live.
#1: Email TikTok
You can send your unban appeal to legal@tiktok.com or info@tiktok.com.
The first way you can use to get unbanned on TikTok live is to email TikTok.
TikTok contains two official email addresses that you can use.
The first email that can be used for mail is legal@tiktok.com, which is for legal issues.
The second email that can be used for mail is info@tiktok.com, which is for anything related to the TikTok app.
The appeal can be submitted to both of these email addresses.
First of all, send a new mail and add one or both email addresses there.
On the subject, you need to provide that you’ve been banned on TikTok live by mistake (for instance, I was banned from TikTok live by mistake).
After that, on the description, tell them that your account was banned accidentally or for whatever reason and that you didn’t violate any of their community guidelines.
For instance, if you were incorrectly banned for being underage, explain them in the email that you are not underage and you’re above 16 years old.
After completing the description, send the email and wait to get TikTok’s response.
You might take response from them in a few days, weeks, or even months because of the large number of appeals submit to TikTok every day.
#2: Use the “Share your feedback” form
Submit an appeal on this link: https://www.tiktok.com/legal/report/feedback.
The second way to get unbanned from TikTok live is by using the “Share your feedback” form and submit an appeal.
The “Share your feedback” form enables you to share your experience on the platform.
The feedback form can also be used to report a problem that you’re getting on the app including being banned on TikTok live by mistake.
Firstly, go to the “Share your feedback” form from the URL.
After that, enter the email address that is linked with your TikTok account.
The next step is to enter your TikTok username.
Under the “What would you like to tell us?” field, tell them that you were banned from TikTok live by mistake and that you didn’t violate the community guidelines of TikTok.
An attachment can also be uploaded under “Attachments”.
If you’ve pre-recorded your live video on TikTok, you can attach it as proof.
Lastly, tap on “Submit” and your appeal will be submitted to TikTok and wait for their response.
#3: Report a problem on the TikTok app
The third way to get unbanned on TikTok live is to report a problem on the app.
TikTok enables its users to report a problem directly from the app:
- Firstly, you need to go to your TikTok profile and tap on the three dots.
- Scroll down and tap on “Report a problem”.
- Now, scroll down and tap on “Live/Payment/Rewards”.
- Tap on “Hosting Live”.
- After that, select “Live is suspended”.
- Tap on “No”, then tap on “Still have problem”.
- Now, describe to them that you were banned by mistake and you didn’t violate any of the community guidelines.
- Lastly, tap on “Report” to submit the report.
After submitting the report, it will be available on your support tickets.
Go back until you reach the “Feedback and help” page.
After that, tap on the editing icon available on the top-right of your screen to see the status of the support tickets.
Due to the burden of reports on TikTok team, you might have to wait for a few days or even for weeks to receive their response.
